4 Years Have Passed

I can't believe that 4 years have passed since I've blogged.  I'm a terrible blogger, that's for sure.  I'm more of a paper and pencil type of journal girl, but I have a new computer so I figured I'd give it another go.

So here we are, May 13th, 2020.  We are in the midst of a worldwide pandemic, being attacked by the Coronavirus, known also as Covid-19.  We are prisoners in our homes.  When going to a store we need to wear masks.  I need to wear a mask at work and now I am not allowed to pull it down when in the store at all.  We practice social distancing of 6 feet apart.  We are not around people we don't live with.  Beaches are closed, non-essential businesses are closed.  Restaurants that are open can only do pickup or delivery.  It's just a strange new world.  I don't see it ending any time soon because a lot of people are not following the rules and guidelines.

The kids are good.  Matt is going to be 21 and is still living at home.  He still works at Jersey Boy Pools with Gordon.

Angelina is going to be 20 and is back at home.  She moved into an apartment with Kassie and a couple of guys, but things didn't work out.  She moved back home, than moved into with Tammy.  Things happened and she had to come back home.  Then she moved into mom.  Coronavirus happened during that time, after lots of arguing and realizing they can't live together, mom kicked her out and she came back home.  Currently she has Krista's bed and Krista sleeps in the living room, but that's causing problems.

Anna is going to be 19 and graduating cosmetology at Voc and high school.  Her and Kyle have been dating for about 2 years or so.

Allie is going to be 18.  Her and Robert have been dating for a few months.  She has been doing great, thank goodness.  No health issues, which is awesome because the last place we want to be is in the hospital.  She graduates this year too.

Alaina is 16.  She is a cheerleader, heading onto varsity in the fall, if they have a season.  She loves it.  She was supposed to be in driving school right now, but everything is closed.

Krista is 13 and is a sweet and sassy teen.  She also is a cheerleader.  She cheered for the Golden Elks Pop Warner for a long time.  We have since left the organization and she was going to move to AYC but again, not sure if there will be a season next year.

Mark is 9.  He is doing remarkably well.  We just found out that his therapist Jenn is leaving Preferred and moving out of state at the end of the month.  I'm so sad about that and he is devastated. Hopefully he'll do well with a new therapist.

Bob is good.  Retired.  He loves working on, fixing up and selling bikes.  He redid our backyard and it looks amazing.

As for me, I went back to work a little over a year and a half ago, next door at the Dollar Tree.  I started once a week unloading truck, but moved inside as a cashier.  Sue retired last March and Lisa took over the store.  This year I was promoted to assistant manager.  I really love my job and I'm grateful for it every day.

Here are some pictures to enjoy while I think of another post to make :)
